Research Funding and Collaboration Opportunities Workshop

November 21, 2018, PIDS Conference Hall, 18F Three Cyberpod Centris-North Tower, EDSA cor. Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.


The workshop aimed to facilitate the exchange of information on possible research funding sources and collaboration opportunities between or among academic and research institutions, government agencies (in particular the Technical Board on APEC Matters agencies) and NGOs.

 

The workshop’s format was a combination of lecture and navigation of relevant websites (EU Horizon 2020 for session 1 and APEC for session 2). The resource speakers provided tips on how to prepare a successful proposal and shared the best practices in developing it.

Symposium: Beyond ASEAN@50: Opportunities and Challenges for Regional Integration

July 25, 2017, Hotel Benilde Maison, De La Salle, Manila


The event was organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in partnership with the De La Salle University-Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies (DLSU-AKI).

 

The theme was in support to the Philippines’ chairmanship of the ASEAN 2017 and in celebration of ASEAN’s golden anniversary as a regional organization. The other major activity of the forum was the general assembly and the business meeting of network members that aims to update them of PASCN’s accomplishments and provide them an opportunity to share their respective research endeavors concerning APEC agenda and other regional integration issues.
